The 12th annual KIDFlix Film Festival kicked off on August 5th, 2011 with “Brownstones to Red Dirt“. It included a live dance and performance by Creative Outlet @ Fulton Park Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn!! This film was amazing and it didn’t disappoint!
The film focused on a group of kids from Bed-Stuy projects and a group of orphans from Sierra Leone finding one another through a pen pal program. You can read more about the film here.
We were privileged to host along with Anime Caribe to present, “A Night of Caribbean Shorts.” The shorts were followed by a live performance by Casym Steel Orchestra and delicious food donated by Sugarcane Restaurant. We were thrilled to present such an incredible line-up!!
With a community outreach at heart, these events deserve to last forever.
